Halloween’s the time of year when you can indulge your creative side, and create costumes that will look amazing and make you the life of the party. This year though, you just don’t have time to go making anything difficult. Maybe you just don’t have the cash to spend on a readymade costume. When you’re in a bind, here’s 5 of the easiest costumes you can make with the clothes you already own.
1. Wednesday Addams
Everyone loves Wednesday Addams, the dour and super smart daughter of the Addams Family clan. Who doesn’t want to be able to deliver razor sharp comebacks like she does? If you want to emulate her, you don’t need all that much. A black dress, white collar, and striped tights are all you need to look like her. Add in some plaits, black lipstick and a scowl, and you’ll look just like the spooky star.
2. Flight Attendant
It’s amazing how easy putting together this look can be. You’ll need to find clothes that look smart and professional, to help you give off the vibe of that cool and collected flight attendant. Get a white shirt or blouse, and match it with a pair of smart trousers or a pencil skirt. Add a hat and a neck scarf, and you’ll look the part instantly. Add a rolling travel bag to complete the look, and if you’re feeling a bit extra, bring some travel bags of peanuts to hand out to everybody at the party.
3. Robber
Hands up! If you can’t go trick or treating, you’ll have to take that candy by force. You probably have everything you already need in your wardrobe for this costume. All you need is a black and white striped top and a pair of black trousers to quickly put this outfit together. Add a black beanie hat, and a black mask to help you disguise yourself. If you have a plain sack or tote bag lying about, try writing ‘SWAG’ on it with a black Sharpie pen, and try not to take too many valuables with you when you leave the party.
4. Zombie
A zombie is the most versatile and easy costume you can put together when you’re in a hurry. Find any clothes that you no longer wear, and cut and rough them up so they look old and beaten up. Put them on, and add the fake blood liberally. You’re now a zombie.
5. Mickey/Minnie Mouse
Who doesn’t love this cartoon duo? They’re easier than you’d think to dress up as. You’ll need red shorts or skirt, a black top, and yellow shoes. Make yourself some mouse ears out of cardboard and attach them to a headband, and you’re ready to go. Add some white gloves too to perfectly mimic the mouse with the most.
There you have it. It’s so easy to create Halloween costumes with clothes you already own. Give some of these costumes a try for yourself.
